1497 Crastonus: Dictionarium graecum copiosissimum.

This book is part of Aldus’ campaign to help teach Ancient Greek: a dictionary of Greek words for Latin readers. The text is therefore a blend of Latin and Greek type.

In the Preface, Aldus addresses all students (studiosis ombibus), encouraging them to study these words and to look forward to the great Greek authors to be issued soon from his press. He also addresses “the reader,” instructing them how to use the index format of this book.
